An email from Merwald to Novomatic Chief Appointments Assistant Harald Neumann referred to a meeting in November 2018, in which then-FP Secretary of State Hubert Fuchs and Consul Josef W. “The meeting never happened”
“November 2018 was the hot phase where it was all about buying the law and haggling,” said Green MP on the Ibiza Committee, David Stögmüller. He wanted to know what Haimbuchner had to discuss with Neumann at the moment. “Haimbuchner appears more and more often as a name in our research committee,” said Stögmüller.
When asked by OÖN, Haimbuchner made it clear: “This meeting never took place.” He once shook hands with Neumann during a factory visit. Haimbuchner specified that he had conversations with a Novomatic employee about illegal gambling at the time.
