A 16-year-old moped driver was involved in a savage chase with police on Sunday afternoon. The teenager was in the district of Braunau in Upper Austria in the direction of Upper Franking when a police patrol tried to arrest him. However, the 16-year-old did not stop, but rather rushed the officers, police report.
The agents became aware of the teenager’s presence because the moped had no license plate. With flashing lights and a horn tone, they chased the 16-year-old, who was carrying a 14-year-old passenger in the back seat.
16-year-old escapes from police on foot
In a forest in the municipality of Ostermiething, the teenager finally wanted to flee further on foot, but was finally reached by the agents. When he was interviewed for the first time, he said he feared the consequences. Police discovered several incorrect conversions on the moped. The minor is accused of various crimes.
