The Bahrain Grand Prix begins with one of the worst accidents Formula 1 has seen in recent years!
Romain Grosjean hits the left handrail with his Haas immediately after the start at over 200 km / h, and the car immediately catches fire. Grosjean jumps from the burning shipwreck and completely destroyed. The Haas tore it in two in the accident.
A little later, all clear: Grosjean is conscious after the accident, but appears to be injured. It has to be supported on the way to the medical vehicle. According to initial information, he is said to have suffered minor burns to his hands and feet, and the Frenchman was taken to hospital for treatment.
Then the race stops immediately. Those responsible expect a 45-minute interruption because the railing needs to be repaired. The race will restart at 16:35 CET.
