The Vienna Capitals suffered their second en suite defeat on Tuesday when they played in Linz against Black Wings 1992 after five wins in a row.

The three ICE Hockey League games on Tuesdays brought wins for clubs in the lower half of the table against those in the upper half of the table. Third-placed KAC lost 1: 2 in eighth place for Bratislava Capitals, fourth-placed Vienna Capitals 1: 3 at the bottom of the Black Wings 1992 table and now seventh-placed Innsbrucker Haie closed with a 6-2 win over the Dornbirn Bulldogs Vorarlbergers in sixth place.

KAC lost to Bratislava Capitals 1: 2

In the first league game between Bratislava and KAC, Filip Ahl led the Slovaks in front after just 68 seconds, and Steven Strong drew less than four minutes later. Carinthians caught the decisive blow in excess. Jakub Suja scored the 2-1 eleven seconds before his team’s two-minute penalty expired. The victory followed Bratislava’s three defeats en suite, for the guests, put a damper on after the recent 4-1 home win over Salzburg.

For the Vienna capitals, the guest performance in Linz started as planned with Fabio Artner’s 1-0 lead in the 15th minute. The hosts turned the game around with Brian Lebler (30th), Dragan Umicevic (33rd / PP ) and Alexander Lahoda (52nd). It was Linz’s first win since a 3-2 win after extra time against Salzburg on 23 October. The High Austrians moved the VSV to the penultimate place. For the Viennese it was the second loss en suite after five wins in a row.

Innsbrucker also wins in the second West Derby of the season

After a 4-1 home win, Innsbruck also won the second West Derby of the season. This time the Tyrolese benefited from a lightning start, after seven minutes it was 0: 2. The guests countered the next goal just 32 seconds later with 1: 3 (13th each). The deciding factor was Daniel Ciampini’s 1: 4 (30./PP), although Emilio Romig wrote again for the hosts (33.).
