There have been a total of 2,577 coronavirus-related deaths since the pandemic began, 118 of them in the past 24 hours. There were 141 hospitalizations in the last 24 hours.

So far 254,710 positive results have been obtained in Austria. As of today (November 24, 2020, 9:30 am), 2,577 people in Austria have died from the consequences of the corona virus, 182,620 have recovered. There are currently 4,689 people in inpatient treatment at the hospital due to the coronavirus, 704 of them in intensive care units.

New infections since the last report are distributed among the Austrian federal states as follows:

The vast majority of reported PCR test results come from Vienna at 6,857, so nearly 7.4 percent of tests in the federal capital were positive. In contrast, 45.6 percent of the 2,553 tests in Upper Austria were positive. In Tyrol, of the 3,836 tests notified, 16.5 per cent were positive, in Salzburg of the 2,534 tests 22.3 per cent. 4,180 results were reported in Lower Austria, of which just under 13 percent were positive. In Styria, almost twelve percent of the 3,730 tests were positive. Carinthia reported 1,721 test results, of which around 15.2 percent were hit, Burgenland 1,595 tests with a hit rate of around 10.8 percent. With 1,064 tests recorded, Vorarlberg had just under eight percent positive results.

The seven-day incidence (cases in seven days per 100,000 inhabitants, keep in mind) was 450.7 in Austria after 468.7 on Monday. With the exception of Burgenland, this value was also lower in all federal states than the previous day, although with a range from 631 in Tyrol and 630.5 in Salzburg to the lowest value of 306.6 in Vienna. It’s also interesting in view of the high absolute number: Upper Austria had a seven-day incidence of 601.1 after 603.1 the day before.
