The number of actively infected people quickly dropped to 3,543. In contrast, the death toll rose to 96.
The situation in hospitals is stable
The situation in the country’s intensive care units remained stable. Of the 79 intensive care beds nationwide, 39, the same number as the last, were occupied by patients with a crown. 23 intensive care beds were still available for all patient groups on Monday. A total of 195 corona patients were cared for in the hospitals.
There was a slight relaxation in the number of infected hospital employees. 108 (minus seven) were infected with the corona virus, 56 (minus seven) other employees were quarantined as contact persons.
Communities
At midnight, there were 16 municipalities in Vorarlberg with more than 50 actively infected. In nine municipalities, the number of cases far exceeded 100, with the city of Dornbirn (481) ahead of Bregenz (279), Feldkirch (254) and Lustenau (221) leading the way. Only seven of the 96 municipalities in Vorarlberg were free of the corona virus.
Seven-day incidence
According to the crown board of the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES), the seven-day incidence of Vorarlberg per 100,000 inhabitants was significantly better than last time. With 577 new infections per 100,000 residents in the past seven days, the state fared better than Salzburg, Upper Austria, Tyrol and Carinthia.
Austria’s average on Sunday was 471.
For the first time in several weeks, the Dornbirn district is no longer the worst affected district in Vorarlberg. With a seven-day incidence of 626, the Feldkirch district has adopted the “red lantern” in these statistics.
