The federal government is trying to get as many businesses and jobs as possible through the crown crisis and the current lockdown with state aid in the billions.
On Monday, Vice Chancellor Werner Kogler and Finance Minister Gernot Blümel presented details of the well-known instruments “Fixed Cost Grant II” and “Extended Sales Compensation”.
The news in advance:
Immediate application
The legal basis is established, the Internet forms have been adapted, and therefore the new aid can be applied for via Finanz-Online from Monday.
Wide calculation base
Fixed-cost subsidy II is much more attractive to businesses than its predecessor in spring. This is because finance now accepts significantly more cost components (sometimes personnel costs as well).
Graduation in commerce
And in retail, it is now clear which subsectors can expect a 20, 40 or 60 percent replacement in sales. While closed body-hugging service providers such as hairdressers or massage therapists get 80 percent sales compensation for the period of the lockdown, in retail it is decided based on three criteria which company gets how much money : gross profit of the respective industry, possible recovery effects after the end of the blockade and the Perishability and seasonality of the goods. Gross profit is weighted twice as the most important factor, that is, the trader’s margin if you wish.
60 percent replacement So it happens that, for example, a florist that has to dispose of its goods in a closed place and cannot pick them up receives a 60 percent sales compensation. However, this replacement also applies to stores that sell shoes, bags, leather goods, or clothing. There, too, fall produce is often no longer for sale in December or gross profit is low.
40 percent replacement According to the Ministry of Finance, companies in the sectors of metal articles, construction materials, sporting goods, books and magazines, curtains, carpets and wallpapers receive 40 percent of their sales lost in the confinement.
20 percent replacement If there is hardly any loss in value of the enclosed goods, as in the furniture trade, there is only 20 percent. This also applies to home appliance businesses or, for example, the motor vehicle trade, because their customers can relatively easily postpone buying a new car until after closing, and therefore lost sales would have to be limited.
