On Sunday there was a slight relaxation for the first time in many weeks. This trend continued on Monday. Unfortunately, there were still 71 deaths.
As the Home Office reports in its daily report, there have been 3,145 new infections with the corona virus in Austria in the last 24 hours. It is known that traditionally fewer tests are evaluated over the weekend, so it is important to take a look at the Monday of the previous week to compare. On November 16, 2020, 4,657 new infections were reported to the authorities, yesterday Sunday 5,226 new positive results. But even today there is again an increase in positive test results in Austria in all nine federal states. The numbers in detail:
➤ Burgenland: 149

➤ Lower Austria: 592
➤ Upper Austria: 558
➤ Salzburg: 242
➤ Steiermark: 330
➤ Tyrol: 323
➤ Vorarlberg: 157

As of today (October 13, 2020, 9:30 a.m.), according to the Interior Ministry, 250,333 people across the country have contracted Covid-19. 2,459 people have died as a result of the infection and 175,527 have recovered.
Currently, 3,863 people are in hospital treatment due to the corona virus and 685 of them are in intensive care units, two more than yesterday.
Why the numbers on the board may differ
The AGES Covid-19 panel extracts its data exclusively from the Epidemiological Registry (EMS) and is updated once a day at 2 p.m. EMS is the official registry that district authorities and laboratories enter.
In the Ministry of the Interior, for its part, the figures are recorded during the daily videoconference of the State of Crisis and Disaster Management in the Operations and Coordination Center (EKC). These figures may include cases that are not yet registered with EMS.
