A 52-year-old man from the Freistadt district was driving a company vehicle in Lanzendorfer-Landesstrae at 6.15 am when the car went off the road in a long left curve. According to the police, the road was a bit icy and slippery. The vehicle collided with a tree and was then thrown into a ditch.
The 52-year-old man was seriously injured in the violent impact. He later died at the crash site.
