AUA chief Alexis von Hoensbroech has rejected reports in German media that scenarios are being developed at parent company Lufthansa to sell the red-white-red subsidiary. “Der Spiegel” reported accordingly.
“We will have to sell cutlery,” Lufthansa boss Carsten Spohr previously explained to Lufthansa employees at an employee event. The “Spiegel” apparently linked this to the AUA.
Alexis von Hoensbroech, CEO of AUA: “That was speculation from ‘Spiegel’, not a Lufthansa scenario. AUA is not for sale and is an integral part of the company’s core business. That will not be very successful, especially if it wants to. take advantage of it. “
