An autopsy was ordered. The “Oö. Volksblatt” reported on Wednesday, citing the Linz prosecutor. He is now investigating the murder of three Latvians aged 44, 46 and 50 who are in custody.
The three suspects and the subsequent victim argued on the night of September 23 in the hotel room in central Linz. It is not clear what exactly happened. One thing is certain: at 1:15 a.m., the room burned down, police broke the closed door and hid the 49-year-old man, who had burns and serious injuries to his skull.
The other three were captured a little later. At least two of them are said to have massive criminal records and specialize in credit fraud. However, they deny having anything to do with the incident in the hotel room. The prosecution expects information from the images and, above all, to improve the soundtrack of a surveillance camera that recorded conversations between Latvians when they left home.
