Alexander Zverev feels ready for the fight between the eight gladiators. “Let the games begin,” exclaimed the best German player before starting the ATP Finals via Instagram. In London, Zverev has to hide the riots in his private life and comply immediately. “In normal tournaments you play in the first round against players who are 40, 50 or 60 years old in the world,” he said: “It is different in the ATP Finals.”
Rather than feel slow into the event, Zverev immediately has to show his best tennis against the world number four on Monday night (9pm / Sky) in the British metropolis. Wait for Russian Daniil Medvedev, who like Zverev is one of the biggest challenges for superstars Novak Djokovic (Serbia) and Rafael Nadal (Spain) in the last tournament of the year.
Zverev leads 5-2 in H2H against Medvedev

It is more difficult to know how your mental state is before the initial duel. At the press conference prior to the start of the tournament, many things revolved around the serious accusations of his ex-girlfriend Olga Scharypova.
It was not an easy performance for the top German player who again denied the public accusations. In recent weeks he has managed to shake off the tumult of his private life in the square. Zverev has to manage the balancing act again in the upcoming duels with the world’s tennis elite.
