Vienna (OTS) – The social partners in trade, i.e. the Federal Trade Section of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKÖ) and the life services union, have agreed on a new collective agreement for workers in the sector in Austria: according to this, the Salaries of about 120,000 employees will increase by 1 in line with the inflation rate of .5 percent.
The negotiating partners have also agreed to the following recommendation: retail companies that see a financial margin despite the crisis can pay retail workers a crown bonus of at least 150 euros.
“We are pleased to have been able to conclude a good collective agreement in a proven social alliance in these difficult days, which maintains purchasing power and still takes into account the situation of companies,” said commercial president Rainer Trefelik.
Christine Heitzinger, president of the life union services department: “We hope that other companies will follow the recommendation of the social partners to pay a crown bond and thus follow the positive examples of other retail companies regarding the bonus payments that have already been made. accomplished.
