4,459 people from Vorarlberg are currently infected with the corona virus. There have been 618 new infections since midnight.

Note: The country’s Corona board was changed on Thursday. As of today, the midnight (midnight) reading has been used as the reference value.

On Wednesday (from midnight to midnight) a total of 709 new infections were recorded. Since midnight, there have been another 618 new infections in Vorarlberg on Thursday. In contrast, there are 264 recovered.

4,459 people are currently infected with the coronavirus in Vorarlberg. This is the highest value since the outbreak of the pandemic.

Another fatality

There was one death again on Thursday (from the Dornbirn district), the number of those who died from or with the coronavirus is 58.

District numbers

Most of those actively infected are still in the Bregenz district (1590), followed by Dornbirn (1197), Feldkirch (1070) and Bludenz (540).

Figures of the municipalities

At the end of the community, there are more actively infected people in Dornbirn, Lustenau, Bregenz and Feldkirch. Only five of the 96 municipalities are free of the corona virus.

14 intensive care beds still available

In total, 182 (minus 4 compared to Wednesday) Covid patients are currently being treated at the hospital.

Of the 182 Covid patients, 38 (+/- 0 compared to Wednesday) must be seen in the intensive care unit. In addition to the 38 intensive care patients from Covid, another 11 patients need intensive care. Of the 63 intensive care beds currently available, a total of 14 are still available to all patients.

High incidence of 7 days

According to the crown board of the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES), Vorarlberg had the second worst value of all Austrian federal states for the incidence of seven days per 100,000 inhabitants on Thursday. With 742 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days, the state was behind Upper Austria (796) and before Tyrol (691).

The Austrian average for the seven-day incidence was 532 on Thursday.

The four districts of Vorarlberg currently have an incidence of more than 590 in seven days. The Vorarlberg “hotspot” with an incidence of 894 is still the district of Dornbirn.
