Antwerp – Friday, 06.11.2020, 00:39
What went wrong there?
One misstep could cost Royal Antwerp dearly. The Belgians, who had to admit defeat to LASK with 0: 1 despite a large majority (match report >>>), must expect consequences.
In their home game against Linz, Antwerp made a mistake when they stopped playing four times to switch players, without a break at half time.
However, according to the regulations, only three breaks plus the half-time break are allowed. The refereeing team did not seem to notice this incorrect approach, the changes also occur in the statistics with the times.
It will only be discussed later whether this will be punished. Victory can be scored higher for LASK if there really is an opponent’s error. However, both players were already prepared for a supposed double change, the referee had a change (64th), continued the game, while the second change occurred a minute later (65th).
There was one more interruption that is not allowed.
In the game EL Antwerp – LASK Antwerp changed in four interruptions (without a break). Only three are allowed (plus half time). Waiting for possible consequences (LASK won 1-0, but may have a higher rating). Unbelievable that the referee allowed this to happen. (af)
