The dream of scoring points will not come true for Red Bull Salzburg on Matchday 3 of the UEFA Champions League. Despite a brave appearance, the Mozartstadters must admit defeat to reigning CL champions Bayern Munich by 2: 6.
Jesse Marsch’s protégés have a tailor-made start. In the fourth minute, Sekou found Koita with a deflected shot from Berisha, who remained calm from his left half position in front of compatriot Manuel Neuer.
Bayern don’t seem particularly shocked, but Robert Lewandowski (8th / next), a rescue act down the line by Andre Ramalho (11th) and an offside by Serge Gnabry (16th) leave the “Bulls” with blue initially Échale an eye.
