No project days outside of school
In the compulsory schools, that is, in the elementary school, middle schools and lower grades of the AHS, as well as in the polytechnic schools, the school operation continues in face-to-face operation. However, additional safety and prevention measures must be taken.
School events like field trips, off-school project days, etc. they will no longer be realized. Excursions to the park or nature are still allowed. You can no longer invite outsiders to schools, for example for workshops or reading mentors. This does not apply to people who are necessary to maintain operations, such as assistance for children with disabilities.
FFP2 masks for teachers
Teacher conferences can only take place online. FFP2 masks are available to educators. These more protective masks can be worn in class on a voluntary basis.
The school administration may order the use of mouth and nose protection, for individual school levels or individual classes. This can also be flexible in terms of time and adapt to the situation on the spot at any time.
In case the situation requires it, distance learning can also be organized for one or more days in the compulsory schools. But that is only the case “if there are several positive cases of COVID-19 in a school, the clarification by the health authority remains open and the full operation of the school would be jeopardized.” The approval of the Directorate of Education and the Ministry of Education is required for the organization of distance education in compulsory schooling. In these cases, the emergency operation must be maintained with adequate support.
