Despite a three-goal lead, LASK finally had to shake off Ludogorez Razgrad on matchday two of the Europa League group stage. “With a 4: 1 score we wanted to kill the opponent and we almost killed ourselves,” said LASK coach Dominik Thalhammer after the 4: 3 win. Here are the highlights from the video.
After the clear 3-0 defeat at Tottenham at the start of EL’s season, LASK was able to rack up the first three points at home against Bulgarian champion Ludogorez. On the Linz side, Petar Filipovic (2nd), Andreas Gruber (12th) and Marko Raguz (35th) scored. LASK also benefited from an own goal by Olivier Verdon (56th).
In Group J’s second match, outsiders Royal Antwerp surprised Tottenham. Lior Refaelov (29th) overshadowed the strong start to the season in northern England when his team won 1-0. This means that the Belgians lead the group after two rounds with six points.
