The mixed forecast from the Central Institute of Meteorology and Geodynamics (ZAMG) on Thursday promises plenty of sunshine, especially at the beginning of the week, before rainy weather spreads again from Vorarlberg on Tuesday.
There’s rain on Friday Initially widespread and only regionally in the afternoon, with predominant clouds in the north and east throughout the day. The snow line rises rapidly to more than 2,000 meters above sea level. In the west and south, however, it is dry and, from the morning, also mostly sunny. The wind usually blows from moderate to strong from the west, there is only a little wind in the south and southeast. Early temperatures of two to nine and daily highs of ten to 17 degrees are expected.
From the west does on Saturday then high air pressure is noticeable and this often shows the sun, but in the great alpine valleys there are still fields of mist at first. In the north and east there are still residual clouds with some rain, but during the day it is also more sunny here, most recently in Weinviertel. Most of the weak winds in the northeast are initially moderate to lively from west to northwest. Early temperatures between two degrees in some alpine valleys and up to 13 degrees in the windy east give way to maximum values that can reach between twelve and 20 degrees depending on the duration of the insolation.
Keep on the eastern plains On Sunday On All Saints’ Day, the fog and high fog fields are partly harsh, here the sun is rare, especially in the first half of the day. Otherwise, the local early morning fog clears quickly and it is temporarily quite sunny. However, starting from Vorarlberg, the clouds in a disturbance zone spread eastward during the day, but the day ends largely dry. The wind initially blows from southeast to southwest, gradually turning to the west, and is strong in some areas. After two to ten degrees in the morning there are daily highs of ten to 20 degrees, depending on the fog and the sun.
Already at the start of the new work week Monday again a slight influence from weather disturbances in some parts of Austria. This brings some rain at first, especially in the eastern mountains. In the western parts of the country, however, the friendly character of the climate often predominates. However, at the latest in the afternoon, the dry climate settles in all parts of the country and the sun rises again in the previously cloudy regions. The wind is weak to lively, early temperatures hovering again between two and ten degrees and rising from twelve to 22 degrees, with the highest values in the west.
On Tuesday If you search in vain for the sun in the valley and southern basin locations, instead, mist and high mist fields are sometimes difficult. Otherwise the sun appears sometimes. From the west, the clouds become more compact during the day and, from Vorarlberg, the rain again spreads over the north side of the Alps to Innviertel. In the rest of the country, the day comes to an end dry from today’s perspective. Early temperatures of five to 14 degrees and daily highs of between twelve and 20 degrees are forecast.
