The changes to travel advisories will take effect in Austria next Saturday. Affected: Czech Republic, Belgium and Great Britain.
Due to epidemiological developments, changes to travel advisories will take effect on Saturday, October 31. The Foreign Ministry announced Thursday afternoon. The existing partial travel advisory for the Prague region will be extended to the entire territory of the Czech Republic. A partial travel warning is issued for the Belgian regions of Brussels and Wallonia. A partial travel advisory is issued for the UK Northeast, East Midlands and Yorkshire and The Humber regions.
Travelers who are currently in the mentioned country or in the mentioned regions must present a negative test for SARS-CoV-2 when returning to Austria due to the upcoming amendment to the ordinance of the Ministry of Health. The Austrian Foreign Ministry continues to apply at least security level 4 worldwide, so travel is not recommended that is not absolutely necessary.
Where travel advisories apply
In total, the travel advisories will apply to a total of 36 countries as of Saturday. There are partial travel advisories for the Belgian regions of Brussels and Wallonia, the British Northeast, East Midlands and Yorkshire and The Humber regions, the Bulgarian regions of Blagoevgrad, Burgas, Dobrich, Gabrovo, Jambol, Kardzhali, Montana, Plovdiv, Rasgrad, Shumen, Sliven, Smoljan, Sofia, Stara Zagora, Targovishte and Varna, the Chinese province of Hubei, the French regions of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and Île-de-France (including the capital Paris) and for the Portuguese regions of the North and Lisbon.
There is also a travel advisory for mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands, as well as for Croatia. There are no restrictions for the following Croatian counties (regions): Brod-Posavina, Istria, Koprivnica-Križevci, Osijek-Baranja, Šibenik-Knin, Varaždin and Zadar.
