Austria issues travel advisory against the entire Czech Republic

Due to the latest developments in the coronavirus crisis, Austria issued a travel advisory on Thursday for the entire Czech Republic, as well as partial warnings for the regions of Belgium and Great Britain. These provisions will enter into force next Saturday, as announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (BMEIA) in the afternoon.

Consequently, the existing partial travel advisory for the Prague region will be extended to the entire territory of the Czech Republic. In addition, partial travel advisories have been issued for the Belgian regions of Brussels and Wallonia and the British regions of the North East, East Midlands and Yorkshire and The Humber.

According to the broadcast, travelers currently in the mentioned country or regions are required to present a negative test for SARS-CoV2 when they return to Austria due to the upcoming amendment to the Ministry of Health ordinance. The Austrian Foreign Ministry continues to apply at least security level 4 worldwide, saying that travel that is not absolutely necessary is not recommended.

Travel advisories for 36 countries around the world

Due to the global spread of the coronavirus, travel advisories will apply to 36 countries around the world as of October 31, 2020: Egypt, Albania, Andorra, Argentina, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, India, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Kosovo, Kuwait, Maldives, Mexico, Montenegro, Nigeria, North Macedonia, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russia, Senegal, Serbia, South Africa, Republic Czech, Turkey, Ukraine, United States and Belarus (Belarus).

Also, according to BMEIA, partial travel advisories apply.
