Capacities in hospitals are increasingly scarce in Germany as in Austria and contact tracing is increasingly difficult.
“Closer cooperation with Germany and the other European partners is therefore of particular importance. We want to move as closely as possible and keep the borders open,” declared the Chancellor.

That could already be decided today, Thursday, at the Foreign Ministry: from 1:00 p.m., Chancellor Kurz, Vice Chancellor Werner Kogler and Health Minister Rudolf Anschober will discuss resources in hospitals with experts. It shouldn’t just be about beds, but also about available personnel and equipment. So there should be a statement at 2pm
Am ZiB2-Interview Christoph Wenisch, head of the infection department at the Favoriten Clinic, spoke of a “worrying dynamic” in intensive care units. He sees a “closing light” coming to Austria: “I hope you don’t look any further,” Wenisch said.
