On Monday, FC Liefering won the duel between the first and the second in the second division before Matchday 7. The leader of the table beat SV Lafnitz 1-0 (0-0) and cleared the way for the GAK. The Graz team beat Blau Weiß Linz 3: 1 (1: 0) at home and moved up to second place against the Lafnitzers with the same points (13 each). Behind them are BW Linz and Austria Klagenfurt with 12 points each.

At Grödig, Luka Sucic scored the golden goal in the 87th minute with a long-range shot for the “young bulls” who cannot move up and are four points ahead of the “peloton” in first place. It was the fifth win in the seventh game for Lieferinger in two draws.

GAK wins the best game

In pole position for a place in the upper house is now GAK, who in front of more than 1,000 spectators in Graz had the advantage over BW Linz in the second top game of the round. The first two shots came in a very curious way: the first was the result of a completely failed back pass from BW defender Felix Strauss (14th), the second from a shot blocked by Fabian Schubert in the penalty area: the goalkeeper Christoph nicht was able to make the high arc Solo maneuvered the ball into his own goal through the inside bar (51.).

The joy of calling only lasted briefly for the Linzers: Martin Harrer got the ball with a bit of luck after swift action and scored the renewed leadership of Gernot Plassnegger’s troops from a few meters (54º). Slobodan Mihajlovic finally made perfect Grazer’s second en suite victory after a counterattack (88th). On the side of the Blue and Whites, Simon Gasperlmair saw yellow-red (94th) in injury time.

Wacker Innsbruck achieved the second victory of the season after five league games without a win. Japan’s Atsushi Zaizen scored against FC Dornbirn in the 6th minute. Like Lafnitz, Dornbirner suffered their only second defeat of the season. Liefering is the only team in the league to remain undefeated.
