The Viennese police arrested two drivers in an illegal street race in Vienna. They were traveling at 124 km / h in the city area.
On Sunday morning, officials from the state traffic department waited with a mobile radar measuring device to stop the blades. Around 4:30 am, during a measurement, the police discovered that a VW Golf and an Audi were running side by side down Triester Straße (Liesing). The measured speed: 124 km / h instead of the 50 allowed. Both drivers are now threatened not only with a driving license revocation procedure, but also with a substantial fine.
Man crashes borrowed motorcycle
In Vienna-Favoriten, there was a traffic accident on Laxenburger Strasse on Saturday around 2.30 pm. During a turning maneuver, a driver (40) collided with a motorcyclist (50, tax office: North Macedonia). The 50-year-old North Macedonian was injured in the accident.
Based on initial surveys, the motorcyclist may have ignored the “prioritize” road sign. In the course of the official act, it turned out that he also does not have a valid driver’s license for the motorcycle. The 50-year-old man told police he borrowed the motorcycle from a friend. Both the 50-year-old man and the owner of the record were reported. Both vehicles suffered material damage.
