Fritz Robeischl elected as the new mayor of Pregarten

The situation became clear on Thursday evening when a new mayor of the city of Pregarten was elected to the local council: 19 councilors voted for the ÖVP VBgm candidate. Fritz Robeischl. Alexander Skrzipek, who defended the SPÖ, received 10 votes. This corresponds essentially to the majority distribution in the municipal council (VP 17, SP 9, FP 3 – two of which are not occupied, Green 2). Robeischl succeeds Anton Scheuwimmer (VP), who has been in charge of the city for the past 29 years. Immediately after the elections, 40-year-old district chief Andrea Ausserweger was sworn in in his new position. Werner Philipp will assume his previous position as deputy mayor.

Fritz Robeischl has been deputy mayor and chairman of the city’s economic and environmental committee for eight years. In addition to the well-known Bruckmühle adventure water park that he started and implemented, he is committed to the revitalization of the city center, as well as climate and environmental protection measures in the community. It has been organizing the city’s annual clean-up day for ten years and has also started the Bruckmühle farmers market.

The new mayor of Pregartner is the father of two children and lives in a community. He studied software engineering at FH Hagenberg and economics at JKU in Linz. He left his last job at RISC Software GmbH in Hagenberg to be able to work full time as mayor of Pregarten. As someone who likes to be among people, the current situation hurts especially, so Robeischl: “This is not an easy time. Corona presents us with great challenges.
