An alcoholic woman caused an accident on Thursday afternoon on the Westautobahn (A1) in Hallwang Township (Flachgau). According to police, the 58-year-old man, who should have fallen asleep, stayed in the right lane towards Vienna. A 38-year-old car driver was unable to stop his car in time and collided with the rear of the 58-year-old car.
Both drivers were unharmed. An alcohol test showed 2.24 per thousand in the 58-year-old woman, and her driver’s license was taken away. The clean-up work caused seven kilometers of traffic jams.
