On Thursday 57 coronavirus infections were reported around the Landesklinikum Zwettl. According to the spokesperson for the State Health Councilor Ulrike Königsberger-Ludwig (SPÖ), the number resulted from the examination of the routes of infection by the doctor and, therefore, was not limited to the hospital. State medical personnel followed the virus in and out of the hospital. The goal is “to cut off infection routes as quickly as possible,” the spokesman said.

Except for 14 patients, 15 employees and one visitor, all other people outside the hospital are said to have been infected since October 9. “It is possible that some of those infected have already recovered,” said the regional council.

48 infected people at the Maria Enzersdorf care center
