Coman Gala: Bayern finish off Atlético

Germany’s record champion Bayern Munich began their mission to defend their title with a resounding Champions League victory despite the crown vortex surrounding Serge Gnabry.

Coach Hansi Flick’s team beat Atlético de Madrid 4-0 (2-0) and thus relied perfectly on the good performances from the tournament finals in Lisbon almost two months ago.

Kingsley Coman (28th, 72nd), Leon Goretzka (41st) and Corentin Tolisso (66th) all scored for the hosts, with midfielder Gnabry being the first Bayern player to test positive for the corona virus on Tuesday.

Bayern coach Flick satisfied and with more praise for Müller

After the Bundesliga home game against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, the Munich team will continue on Tuesday with an away game at Lokomotiv Moscow in the premier class.
