When and to whom the unemployment benefit applies
The new unemployment benefit is scheduled for the three-month period from October to December 2020. Approximately 410,000 beneficiaries should benefit. The way the bonus is calculated is new. In the summer it was a requirement to have at least 60 days of unemployment benefits between May 1, 2020 and August 31, 2020. Now a tiered method is used. Those who have been unemployed for at least 15 days receive 150 euros, those who have been unemployed for at least 30 days receive 300 euros and those who have been unemployed for at least 45 days receive 450 euros, according to the Ministry of Labor.
