Furthermore, from the AK point of view, there is the possibility of “being unable to work for important personal reasons.” If childcare cannot be arranged quickly, there is a reason for the inability to work. Unlike care leave, it is not limited to a fixed number of days per year. The law says “as short as necessary.” That is why a “target value” of up to one week has been set.
Free time for parents when school closes
From the AK president’s point of view, the current legal regulations are formulated too vaguely and thus did not always go into effect in the Corona lockdown.
