Once again, more than 1,500 new infections were recorded in Austria in 24 hours.
So far there have been 67,451 positive results in Austria. As of today (October 20, 2020, 9:30 am), 914 people in Austria have died from the consequences of the corona virus and 51,407 have recovered. 889 people are currently in hospital treatment due to the coronavirus, 145 of them in intensive care units.
The new infections are divided between the federal states of Austria as follows:

Tyrol: 292

Vienna: 333
333 new cases in Vienna
As of Tuesday, October 20, 2020, 8 am, 23,736 positive tests have been confirmed in Vienna.
The number of deaths related to the virus is 293. The two new deaths are a 75-year-old man and an 83-year-old woman.
17,757 people have recovered.
Yesterday 4,986 crown tests were carried out in Vienna, making a total of 557,309 tests.
Dramatic increase in Tyrol
In Tyrol, 209 people have tested positive for the corona virus since Monday night. In the same period, 41 people were considered to have recovered. The number of infected people rose to 1,772 on Tuesday morning. 79 Covid 19 patients were housed in Tyrol hospitals, eleven of them required intensive medical treatment.
Most of the cases occurred in the Innsbruck-Land districts, which turned red at the crown traffic light, with 544 people infected and Innsbruck-Stadt with 507. The orange district of Schwaz followed with 287 cases. So far, 271,195 tests have been carried out in Tyrol.
