Chancellor Kurz still believes in a corona vaccination in the first half of 2021. Furthermore, Kurz did not explicitly rule out a shutdown on Monday.

Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz (ÖVP) continues to assume that a coronavirus vaccine will be available in the first half of 2021. From today’s perspective, one should be able to return to normality next summer, the head of government said Monday in the “ZiB1”.

Briefly, the blockade did not rule out

Kurz did not explicitly rule out a confinement or situations similar to a confinement. There are many countries with significantly higher numbers of infections. There schools and restaurants close again and there are no exits: “We want to avoid that in Austria, if it is somehow possible.”
