At around 3 pm, a police patrol in Linz was alerted and called to an apartment. The cause was initially unclear.
At the scene, officers came across an injured 17-year-old Rumnin who was already receiving first aid from rescuers. The young man suffered severe cuts and was initially unavailable to the police.
The 20-year-old Afghan friend of the wounded man told police that his girlfriend had been injured by a knife and that he was preventing her from hurting herself further.
This claim was confirmed by Rumnin’s supervisor, 44, who was also present. He was able to speak to the young woman before emergency services arrived and said she admitted to hurting herself.
After the 17-year-old was approachable again, a completely different image emerged. She told the police about an argument with her boyfriend. It is said that he stabbed her with a knife and then intimidated her so much that she did not dare to speak the truth just yet.
The young man was taken to Kepler University Hospital, the 20-year-old suspect friend of the victim was arrested and taken to the police detention center. The investigation continues.
