At a company in Wiener Neustadt, 16 people were reported infected with the corona virus on Monday. The assessment of about 100 employees in the affected department has already been completed, the office of state health adviser Ulrike Königsberger-Ludwig (SPÖ) said. Additional investigation is planned in the coming days. New cases were also registered in other conglomerates of the state.
According to the spokesperson for the regional councilor at a care center in St. Peter in der Au (Amstetten district), the number of infections increased from nine to 21 compared to Saturday. Two other sick people were observed in a nursing home in Maria Enzersdorf (Mödling district), the total here increased to 43.

In relation to the Landesklinikum Zwettl, 31 positive cases were registered, five more than those last reported. In connection with the central warehouse of a supermarket chain in St. Pölten, examination of the 400 employees revealed a total of 15 infected people.
There are currently 10,403 people under quarantine in the state, according to the Königsberger-Ludwig office. In general, there are several “small” accumulations in companies. According to the spokesperson, 27 of the new infections reported Monday in Lower Austria were school-related and occurred in particular from the fifth grade.
