The 22-year-old Romanian had gone to the Kirchdorf district jeweler with a second unknown woman and offered him the jewels. He bought it. But when he looked at them more closely afterwards, they seemed strange to him: the engravings, for example, did not at all match the saleswoman who had shown him identification.
Initially, the prosecution of the woman was unsuccessful. However, the State Criminal Police Office has released photos of the jewelry and asks potential victims to contact investigators by email ([email protected]).
