Because an explosion on Sunday night completely destroyed the alternative school in Dornbirn in Vorarlberg. The detonation could be heard and felt from afar, broken glass and pieces of metal flew more than 100 meters.

The investigation, which began immediately, revealed yesterday that during construction work on Saturday, gas pipes for the alternative school were apparently drilled, which were located just under a meter below the ground floor of the school. Alarmed firefighters saw the large blaze caused by the explosion as they approached. “Access roads within a 100-meter radius were littered with debris,” said fire brigade commander Gerold Hämmerle. Damaged houses and cars
