The dress rehearsal for the first game of the Europa League next Thursday in London against Tottenham was a success for LASK, at least in terms of results. The athletes did their duty with a 3-0 victory in the second round of the ÖFB Cup against Wörgl.
Before the break, LASK lived up to his role as a favorite. The game only developed in the Wörgler half, the LASK patiently searched for the gaps in the Tyrolean defense bar. Johannes Eggestein broke him 1-0 (30th). Thomas Goiginger was cleared in his comeback after a torn cruciate ligament in the penalty area, his shot from the right wing missed completely, but he became the ideal template for the loan to Bremen, who only had to hold his foot the competitive debut for the first goal.
The German wasted two chances to increase, with the large number of corners, Peter Michorl missed the precise shooter. Michorl sat on the bench because Mads Emil Madsen was able to make his debut in the starting eleven. The Dane calmly convinced on the ball and good exchange passes, but did not add dynamism.

It was the only shot at the Tyrolean goal in the entire match, which was finally decided by jokers Andreas Gruber and Peter Michorl with their goals in injury time (91, 93). The victory was a great disappointment: immediately before the break, James Holland stood up in a duel. The Australian had to be replaced and is now in danger of being canceled for the Europa League game against Tottenham. A race against time is coming.
