Innsbruck – FC Wacker Innsbruck’s cup journey continues into the round of 16. The Tyrolese beat SV Stripfing of the regional league 1-0 at home on Saturday. The black and green greens, semi-finalists last year at the Uniqa ÖFB-Cup, were only able to turn the clear increase in chances into a countable three minutes before the end of the game by converting a jaming penalty.
SV Wörgl, however, had to surrender as expected. The Tyrolean regional league team faced the LASK of the Bundesliga for a long time in the away game in Linz. A goal from rookie Johannes Eggestein put the favorites ahead in the first half (31). Andreas Gruber and Peter Michorl only managed the final 3-0 in injury time in favor of the Europa League participant.
