Situation in Vienna
In Vienna, 230 new infections with the corona virus were recorded in the statistics on Friday, after 480 on Thursday. Currently, the number of infected people is 5,507, 37 less than the previous day. According to the Vienna crisis management team, a total of 22,107 positive findings have been recorded in the federal capital so far.
As highlighted in the crisis management team, attention should be paid to the use of mouth and nose protection in the workplace. This applies, for example, to the social and common rooms or in the staff room, a spokeswoman for the crisis team listed examples: “Pay attention to protection even when you are among confidants.” There is a reason for this request: “What we notice is that exactly the infections occur there.”
The new infections are distributed among the other federal states of Austria as follows: Burgenland: 25, Carinthia: 25, Lower Austria: 53, Upper Austria: 238, Salzburg: 165, Styria: 145, Tyrol: 206 and Vorarlberg: 76 .
