It is likely that the unknown perpetrator obtained access to the account of a 61-year-old man from the Neunkirchen district in a previously unknown way to order a high-priced mobile phone via an internet trading platform.
When the cell phone was delivered on September 2 in Neunkirchen, he is said to have illegally picked up the package directly from the delivery man at the address of the injured party. The victim only became aware of the crime when the account was debited.
Investigations into similar cases are ongoing throughout Germany.
