At the Zwettl State Hospital, 13 employees tested positive for the corona virus on Thursday. According to Bernhard Jany, the Lower Austrian State Health Agency “strictly adheres” to the Crown’s rules of conduct there. Other cases arose in a care and support center in St. Peter in der Au (Amstetten district). Eight infected people were counted here, the office of state health adviser Ulrike Königsberger-Ludwig (SPÖ) said.

More infections were also recorded in the existing Lower Austrian groups. The number of sick people in a nursing home in Zistersdorf (Gänserndorf district) increased from four to 31, according to a spokesperson for the regional councilor. In a nursing home in Maria-Enzersdorf (Mödling district), three more people were known to be infected, now there were 40 people who tested positive for the corona virus.
9,831 people were under quarantine in the state on Thursday. From Wednesday to Thursday there were 242 new infections.
