119 patients in intensive care units

In Austria, a new record with 1,552 new corona infections was set on Thursday, the Interior Ministry and Health Ministry reported in a broadcast. As of Thursday of last week there were still 1,209 new confirmed infections.
As things stand today, 877 people in Austria have died from the consequences of the corona virus and 46,798 have recovered. There are currently 664 people in hospital treatment for the corona virus, 119 of them in intensive care units.
New infections by federal state
New infections since the last report are distributed among the Austrian federal states as follows:
- Burgenland: 35
- Carinthia: 22
- Lower Austria: 242
- Upper Austria: 224
- Salzburg: 66 (these are figures from the Ministry of Health, the state of Salzburg counts differently)
- Steiermark: 119
- Tyrol: 295
- Vorarlberg: 69
- Vienna: 480
