Innsbruck – The Tyrolean state parliament discussed the status of the crown and the associated restrictions and measures on Wednesday. The occasion was an “oral report” by Governor Günther Platter (ÖVP), in which the latter saw Tyrol and Austria at a “tipping point” in view of the increasing number of infections. The opposition fired at measures such as the curfew regulation at 10 pm and, above all, the “ÖVP system”.

The Ischgl Committee of Experts report also repeatedly shone in criticism from the opposition. This will only be discussed in state parliament on Friday.

Platter is concerned and defends curfew regulation

In his speech, Platter drew a troubling picture of the crown situation, after he had previously deemed further action necessary during Question Time. Above all, the still existing travel advisories, especially from Germany, caused the country’s chief to worry about the lines on the tourism front. That is why he returned to issue the slogan: “Down with the contagion figures. They are simply too high. ” But Platter himself was also concerned about the growing number of infections: “The crisis caught up with us earlier than expected.”

The governor defended the regulation of the curfew, this was necessary because groups had formed in the night gastronomy. In addition, the regional chief came out once again as a proponent of compulsory registration in the catering industry, which currently does not exist in Tyrol. Platter did not advocate changing this. Because, in his opinion, the Vienna regulation is legally “on shaky footing.”

Overall, however, Tyrol overcame the “first wave” well, also in terms of business location. And Platter longed for the end of the Crown. “It is the wish of all of us that this nightmare finally ends. The cuts in social, social, cultural and economic terms are enormous.”

Dornauer sees “sad results of the black-green state government”

Platter and his party of the SPÖ people did not forgive. SPÖ boss and club president Georg Dornauer has already given a preview of Friday’s debate and attacked the regional boss head-on for Ischgl: he was responsible for a “multitude of wrong judgments and wrong decisions”. With 45,000 unemployed, Tyrol also recorded the largest increase in Austria: “That is the sad result of this black-green state government.” With the earlier curfew, Platter also “triggered” the German travel warning: “Who else comes as a guest when you have to go to bed at 10pm? Like at boarding school.”

Logically, the conclusions of the president of the Green club, Gebi Mair, were softer. Above all, he was “very concerned” about the growing number of conglomerates in nursing homes and hospitals. People with previous illnesses were also more affected. Mair cautioned that protection standards should be followed more closely, also in the private sector.

FPÖ, List Fritz and NEOS also reached an agreement with Kurz

The head of the FPÖ LAbg. Markus Abwerzger again criticized the “underdeveloped culture of resignation” in Tyrol, especially with regard to Ischgl. In criminal law, the lawyer did not believe that “something would come out”, but ultimately there was a “political and moral” responsibility. The curfew again is a “death sentence” for many restaurateurs, Platter has not yet been able to name a single group.

Chancellor Sebastian Kurz (ÖVP) did not escape unscathed either. This constantly scares you, you have to be glad that the greens keep slowing down.

List Fritz-LAbg was at the same address. Markus Sint: The Chancellor is constantly causing panic, for example with his declaration in the spring that everyone will know someone who has died from Corona. The numbers would speak a completely different language. Politicians have lost credibility and confidence through statements that should be made. And this is also the reason why measures are often no longer taken seriously. Sint also worried about the Tyrolean state budget. 800 million euros had already been spent on taxes in the course of the crisis, more than 300 million euros through new debts. And that with the lack of participation of the state parliament.

Sint: “Tyrol does not belong to tourism”

The fact that tourism and “saving the winter season” are always the focus also annoyed Sint: “Tyrol does not belong to tourism.” After all, there is also the population: it should not be understood that everything is subordinate to it, while people have to live with restrictions. Regarding tourism considerations to close to save the winter season, Sint said, “Is it still working?” The “ÖVP system” is responsible for many problems in Tyrol and the “Platter system” for twelve years.

NEOS state spokesman and club president Dominik Oberhofer also shot the federal chancellor. The expert commission report clearly revealed that this was largely to blame for the chaotic conditions when tourists left Ischgl. In general, the chancellor “increases the panic.” “The panic is not announced,” said the president of the pink club. Corona is not “the plague”, it is lived “not in the sixteenth century”, in which everyone dies from such a disease. However, you must take the virus seriously.

As far as travel advisories are concerned, Oberhofer Landeshauptmann Platter was responsible. Ultimately, it was he who was the first to publicly demand such a thing for Croatia, although the country does not belong to the Western Balkans, where the number of infections increased in the summer. Now Tyrol itself and Austria are faced with pointless travel warnings. “The way you call the forest, it echoes,” the NEOS politician told the governor. (TT.com, WHAT)
