Kickl Belakowitsch’s confidant is openly opposed to Nepp. Leadership dispute in the Vienna state party.

The struggle for power in the Vienna FPÖ appears to intensify after the state elections. Vienna’s state committees met for a meeting on Tuesday night. According to a participant in the meeting, there was a dispute over the direction of the meeting. The FPÖ member of the National Council, Dagmar Belakowitsch, opposed the incumbent leader of the FPÖ, Dominik Nepp, in Vienna and openly claimed leadership. Belakowitsch is a close confidant of FPÖ club president Herbert Kickl. “The federal party is apparently now trying to put Dominik out,” one participant told oe24.

Will there even be a fight vote?

The meeting is still ongoing. There was even a fight between Belakowitsch-Jenewein and Nepp. Even before the Vienna elections, circles around Kickl tried to install Belakowitsch in Nepp’s place as head of the FPÖ.
