The mayor of Hallein requests that parents no longer take their children to kindergarten. This is not feasible in terms of personnel.
Local chief Alexander Stangassinger refers to the recent toughening of the Crown in Tennengau. The latest measures state that parents have to say goodbye to their children before kindergarten and can no longer accompany them to the building. This applies to children from the age of three, in Hallein this affects 570 children.
In a letter, the red mayor explains that it is not feasible for pedagogues. Therefore, he asks parents to take care of their children at home for the next two weeks, the rules apply until the national holiday on October 26, if the professional situation allows it. With this approach, Stangassinger wants to “minimize the pressure,” he explains in an interview with ORF.
Criticism of regulation
The letter apparently had its effect. Because as orf.at reports, only 80 children came to the Hallein-Gamp kindergarten on Tuesday. Under normal circumstances, it was the last 130. Kindergarten headmaster Gerlinde Wahlhütter speaks of relief. Also because the “take over” of children is difficult. Due to the strict separation of the groups, it is difficult to greet the little ones without violating the duty of vigilance.
Criticisms of the regulation come from Neos regional councilor Andrea Klambauer. Although he is responsible for the care of the children, he did not participate in the development of the regulations. Nothing can be changed later.
