According to information from the Ministry of Health and the Interior this Tuesday, at 9:30 am 1,028 new infections were added. The number of people in hospital treatment increased by 50 patients. Of 611 hospitalized patients, 107 required intensive care, an increase of 10 compared to Monday.

The number of hospital patients increased by almost 23 percent during this period.
112 new cases in Upper Austria
Of the 1,028 new infections, 306 occurred in Vienna, 183 in Lower Austria and 152 in Tyrol. 112 new cases were reported in Upper Austria, 96 in Styria and 74 in Salzburg. Vorarlberg followed with 43 positives, 32 were registered in Krnten and 30 in Burgenland.
A total of 21,708 tests were performed in the last 24 hours, with 4.7 percent of those testing positive. In the federal capital alone, 10,880 tests were carried out, and the proportion of positive test results was 2.8 percent, well below the Austrian average.
