In the English version of the Corona traffic light (Scotland is planning a similar one), regions must be assigned to one of three risk levels: medium, high, very high. According to the BBC, nationwide restrictions apply to the lowest, such as mask requirements in shops and public transport, the 10pm curfew for restaurants, pubs, bars, and the rule of six, that only allows meetings with a maximum of five other people.
Level 2 is likely to apply to areas with 100 or more infection cases per 100,000 inhabitants in a week, reportedly affecting parts or even all of London. Here it was expected that meetings with people from other households would only be allowed outdoors.
Stage 3 is meant to impose additional restrictions for the most severely affected parts of the country, or those with particularly fast rising infection rates, such as Nottingham (which leads the English list of new infections with 830 per 100,000 people in a week) and Liverpool. Gyms, casinos, pubs and bars are expected to close here.
