The Chechen (15) who beat a 15-year-old in Vienna has to be detained, but not for long. He will be free again next Monday.
Israil C. is not the average of 15 years. The son of two Chechens looks much older, is about six feet tall and walks upright. The scars on his well-trained upper arms (“I’m working out on the street”) and his stoic gaze quickly show that he can’t be played with.

“He insulted my people, he spoke ill of Chechens. That’s why he received the fists,” the Austrian-born 15-year-old said at the Vienna Regional Court of the victim of the same age. On August 12, Israil C., together with two others (“I knew them from the park”), punched and kicked the young man of Turkish origin in Vienna-Floridsdorf and injured his face. The perpetrator and the victim did not know each other before. A 13-year-old friend of the victim is said to have revealed to the Chechen community that there was chat contact with a Chechen girl some time ago. A little later the juvenile delinquents stalked him in front of a supermarket.

Defense attorney Wolfgang Blaschitz accuses Israil C. of being a “guardian of morals”. “It was a completely different motivation. As it is said that the victim scolded the Chechens, my client wanted to teach him a lesson. But it was not excessive violence,” he said in court. Apparently, the prosecutor had no way or no interest in viewing the video.
