A 17-year-old boy was captured and killed by a vehicle on the A8 in Bavaria. The young woman was walking down the highway in the direction of Salzburg in the early hours of Sunday morning. The driver is now being sought, the Traunstein traffic police reported in a broadcast.
The 17-year-old was wearing dark clothes and walking. Police suspect that the driver is the driver of a truck. After the accident, he continued his journey at the Siegsdorf junction without stopping. Now they are looking for him in Bavaria and Austria.

The reason the young woman was on the road is as unclear as the course of the accident. An expert was called in to determine the cause of the accident by order of the Traunstein prosecutor.

The volunteer fire brigade was in action next to the Siegsdorf motorway maintenance facility with four vehicles and 20 emergency services. The Siegsdorf West junction and the right lane had to be closed for three hours.
