Seekirchen: Seriously injured in a caravan fire on the lido

80 years revived at the campsite

An 80-year-old man had to be resuscitated on Saturday night at the Seekirchen lido camp. A hiker and two other campers noticed the fire and were able to save the unconscious man. Meanwhile, the flames destroyed two caravans and their porch, police report.

A woman had noticed the fire while walking and called emergency services. A 57-year-old man and his 54-year-old wife also noticed the flames. They rushed to the scene of the fire, the man managed to save the 80-year-old caravan owner from the fire at the “last second”. He had already suffered serious injuries and had to be resuscitated on the spot. He was then transferred to the Salzburg University Hospital.

Burning caravan: cause unclear

The Seekirchen fire brigade arrived with six vehicles and 42 Floriani and was able to extinguish the fire. Police are now investigating the cause of the fire, which is currently unclear. The amount of the damages is estimated in the police issue at 100,000 euros.
